Short Bio

It seemed appropriate to include a short biographical sketch to start things off.

Shaughan and Michael Cummings are currently students at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Michael is a law student, while Shaughan is a joint JD/MPA student. We met during our first year of law school in the Fall of 2005 and were married on May 13, 2006 in Newport Beach, CA. Our darling daughter Eva joined us on July 2, 2007. Both of us are graduating in April of 2008, and Michael hopes to start a Management/Organizations PhD program in the Fall of 2009. In other words, we'll be in school for the rest of forever :)

Welcome to our little piece of cyberspace

It's a crazy time of year to start something like a blog (neither Shaughan nor Michael have ever done anything like this before) but we're hoping it kind of makes up for our likely failure to send out the obligatory Christmas letter. Finals start next week, then we'll each only have one semester before graduating from law school. Yay!!

We've included the (extended) Cummings Family picture with Michael's parents and siblings (the pleasant result of an uncomfortable and bitterly cold hour spent outside this last Sunday morning). One of these days we'll take a wintry picture with just the three of us.
